A father of four and now a widowed husband was left with no choice but to bury his 29-year-old wife and unborn baby after a speeding drunk driver crashed into her minivan.
It was back in October when Inside Edition shared the tragic story involving Kincaid’s wife, revealing the true dangers behind driving drunk. Kincaid’s wife Krystil, who was eight months at a time, had been driving in her minivan on September 9th talking to her husband on the phone. During that time, 28-year-old Marcos Forestal, who the source recognized as a professional boxer, allegedly veered into the wrong lane and was said to have been traveling at 85 mph. He crashed into Kincaid’s van and all her husband could hear through the phone was “a horrible scream.” He told the news outlet “It only lasted two seconds but … I screamed for her to say something. I was listening for a moan — agony … nothing.”
While Kincaid struggled to survive as she waited trapped inside her vehicle for emergency personnel to arrive, Forestal decided to live stream the aftermath of the crash on Facebook Live. Kincaid’s husband said that he didn’t even go over to his wife’s vehicle to check on her, rather, he was video recording himself saying “Look what somebody did to my car.” When emergency responders arrived, they airlifted the expecting mother to a local hospital where “doctors made every attempt to save her and her unborn baby.” Despite the efforts that were made by hospital health care workers, Kincaid nor her baby survived.
Zach Kincaid told Insider Edition that one of the doctors was crying and shared with him how “perfect” his daughter was who didn’t make it through the crash. She described the now deceased child as having “chubby cheeks and chubby thighs.” Kincaid, devastated by his loss, had to lay to rest his wife and unborn baby and decided to share the photos of the funeral with the public. In the photos, you can see him and his four surviving children saying goodbye to their mother and sibling. The source stated that Kincaid shared these heartbreaking photos to “raise awareness of drunken driving dangers.” He told the source, “I had to show everybody that nightmare.”
As for Forestal, police suspected that he had been under the influence of alcohol and he was charged with vehicular manslaughter. He pleaded not guilty to those charges.
